These beams from the sky continued for so long I finally decided to run in the house and get another camera. I had my Sony DSC-F707 on a tripod and was able to zoom in on the beam in the IR Framing mode.  The IR framing provides somewhat of a different view of this phenomenon.  These orbs look like balls and move outside of the beam, breaking with the motion of the beam coming down. It’s interesting I picked up the orb formation with the Olympus camera right before I took these pictures.
