GEOMAGNETIC FIELD
The light rods appear to be actual objects and not light beams or orbs in motion. Some even look like scepters and others look like small UFOs and they float with an up and down movement. Unlike the beams that came out of the portal, there was no single point of origin for the light rods since they often floated down from above an area approximately twenty to thirty feet from the portal and often seemed to appear and to grow into this realm.
